We hope everyone is weathering this pandemic storm and finding ways to keep busy. At DDI, we are still providing dog walking services, albeit at a much smaller quantity. A quick thank you to all of the essential workers that we serve (including our amazing walkers!). We are grateful for you and for your willingness to help especially in light of the circumstances. For clients that are suffering financially, mentally and/or physically, we are sending our love. If you need help caring for your furry loved ones, please know that we are always at your service.
I was recently asked by a fellow business owner what the hardest part of this crisis has been. I instantly knew. Uncertainty. It’s impossible to plan out your business’ return to normalcy when you don’t know if/when that will ever happen. Moreover, not being able to provide answers to your kids (furry and human) and employees creates an undue burden on your conscience. Are you taking up all of the current measures that are being recommended? Can you walk your dog without a mask? How likely are you or someone you love to contract COVID? All of these “ifs” create psychological unrest and cause you to question your every move. I wish I had a roadmap on how to run a business through a pandemic. But I don’t, so I’m trying to navigate the best way forward out of this nightmare.
With that said, your support has helped us immensely. Not just financially, though. Knowing that we are in this together has given us strength in continuing to fight for DDI and to fight for the clients we have grown to love. We are confident that DDI will survive and that once again we can care for and love your dogs with abandon.
Stay healthy, be well and whenever you are feeling down, go walk your dog:)
All our love,
Lauren and the DDI team
